Mawson Resources Limited (Mawson) is a uranium exploration and development company. The company principally engages in the acquisition, exploration and development of uranium assets in Sweden. The company also engages in the exploration of its advanced uranium projects in Spain, Finland and Sweden. It is exploring a uranium portfolio of 21 projects in these three European countries, including four 100%-owned advanced projects. The company currently has three principal projects located in Sweden; namely the Hotagen (including the Klappibacken Stensjodalen, and Langvattnet uranium projects), Kapell, and Tasjo properties. It holds six claim applications for 477 hecatares in Finland and its Finnish properties include Nuottijarvi, Saramaki and Mustamaa uranium projects. Further, it holds two granted exploration permits (Don Benito) for 17,837 hectares and one exploration application for 8,889 hectares (El Castillejo) in Spain. The company also owns 100% interest in Mawson Sweden AB and Mawson Energi AB. In September 2009, the company announced that the Finnish authorities have confirmed the granting of a 96 hectare exploration claim to Mawson over the Nuottijarvi uranium project in Central Finland. During the same year, the company commenced proceedings to withdraw from its mineral exploration licences in Spain, and expand its uranium exploration efforts throughout Scandinavia. Recently, Mawson acquired Areva's finish exploration portfolio thus it became Mawson's shareholder. Mawson Resources Limited is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
