CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (CanAlaska) is a Canada based mineral exploration company. It was formally known as CanAlaska Ventures Ltd. CanAlaska  involves in the field of acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties in Canada. It principally focuses on exploring for uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin area of Saskatchewan. CanAlaska undertakes uranium exploration in twenty 100%-owned and three optioned uranium projects in Canada's Athabasca Basin. Its mineral properties include Cree East project, West McArthur project, Fond du Lac project, Poplar project, Helmer project, Lake Athabasca project, Black Lake project, Camsell project, Grease River project and Waterbury project. The Cree East Project is funded by a Korean consortium, comprising Hanwha Corporation, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Resources Corporation and SK Energy Co. Ltd. Similarly, CanAlaska entered into an option agreement with Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd., a mining company wholly-owned by Mitsubishi Corporation, to undertake uranium exploration on the West McArthur project. CanAlaska is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.

Recently, the company signed the first diamond drill contract for its uranium exploration projects in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada. Further, CanAlaska announced that the drilling is now underway on the Fife Island target on the Collins Bay Extension Project, and that additional drilling is planned for a second conductivity/gravity anomaly target located due east of the Collins Bay-Eagle Point Mine.
