Summary

The creation of Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) in Texas will significantly enhance the state’s current transmission capacity which will encourage wind farm development and further lead to increase in wind power installations in Texas. CREZ is the mechanism where the state identified the wind rich zones to expand and construct the transmission network in the coming years so as to promote sustainable renewable energy development in Texas.
