Overview:

Summary

Eolia Renovables de Inversiones, SCR, S.A., a renewable energy company engaged in wind and photovoltaic solar power generation in Europe, completed project financing of EUR102.5 million ($137.16 million), for the construction and development of Lleida and Soria wind farm projects located in Spain. Favorable Spanish policies and incentives are encouraging healthy growth of renewables in the country. The government has given execution order for the projects registered in the pre-assignment Registry of the special regime of the Ministry of Industry to encourage renewable and reach the country’s target. The present financed projects are part of these registered projects. The investment will also further help Eolia to gain market share in the region. The financing of the project is provided by La Caixa, Caja Madrid, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA), Banesto Bank and Banco Sabadell S.A.
